Sunday, May 17 – Lincoln, Nebraska
We decided on this trip just a few weeks ago, too little notice to recruit family or friends. Just the two of us. It was relaxed, quiet, unrushed – I could go on and on. Of course, London is always a favorite and much the opposite of the English countryside. I would not have done anything differently. The rental Range Rover was great, and Avis provided a return at our terminal drop-off. We loved our rental house in Petsworth – clean, comfortable, close. The dining was excellent. Everyone was kind, friendly, and helpful in every way possible. And now, with this blog, we have a written memory of this special journey.
Where are we off to next? Well, with just two nights and one full day at home, we fly to Sonoma, California, for a family reunion, followed by visits with dear friends and maybe a few art-related events. Home again for a week, then off to NYC for the Tribeca Film Festival. We do not take our ability to travel for granted. We cherish each and every opportunity. And we believe that our vagabond lifestyle will result in longer lives.
